About Blind Mime Ensemble

Blind Mime Ensemble is a project by Briyan Frederick (aka Bryan Baker). It’s 40 years of lyrics old and new with music and vocal remixed by AI. Old bedroom 4-track songs, tapegerms and unearthed confessions reimagined, along with lots of brand new stuff.

A secondary project is Blind Mime Ensemble VS which is where BME works with material from other artists, seeding albums from audio seeds, Tapegerms, youtubes, found recordings and more. VS explores beyond the common boundaries of music making and AI.

Briyan is probably best known as the longtime publisher of GAJOOB, which started as a local zine of underground music and became one of the seminal publications focusing on homemade music and cassette culture.

Briyan also releases music as Briyan Frederick, available on Bandcamp (via GAJOOB Records & Tapes) as well as Apple Music, Spotify, Youtube and most major streaming services.
